Esther van der Ploeg studies oboe with Maarten Dekkers and Aisling Casey at the Rotterdam Conservatory.  Before this she studied with Ernest Rombout and followed masterclasses by Laszlo Hadady, Ralph van Daal (English Horn), Prof. Heinz Holliger and Lucas Navarro. She plays in several  ensembles like the CCC ensemble and the Ricciotti Ensemble. Besides playing oboe she also studies choir conducting with Wiecher Mandemaker at the Rotterdam Conservatory.
